Mix it up by combining Cloud Lite and Plus

Need premium digital signage for some screens but not others? Combine Lite (free) and Plus (paid) subscriptions.

Airtame Cloud is a platform that gives our customers remote management of Airtame devices, which are used for both wireless screen sharing and digital signage. There is no limit to the number of devices that can be managed or the number of administrators who can access your organization’s cloud account.

For each Airtame device that’s registered within your cloud account, you can choose between free (Lite) functionality and paid (Plus) functionality. This means that you aren’t forced to apply one subscription model to all of your devices. Instead, you can have a flexible combination of devices running Lite and Plus, while managing them altogether from the same account.

Airtame Cloud Lite is great for everyday maintenance. It offers remote firmware updates, reboots, device grouping and management across locations, user roles and access delegation, the moderator tool to mediate live screen sharing, and basic digital signage features including the option to set a custom image or a public URL as Airtame’s screensaver, complete with instructions for screen sharing. You can also choose to orient content in landscape or portrait mode.

The main benefits of cloud management are three-fold:

That said, you may need advanced digital signage and management with Plus on some of your screens. Any device on Cloud Plus will have everything that’s in Lite, as well as a real-time visual overview of all screen content, Sleep Schedule for automatically powering devices on and off (i.e. energy and cost-saving), custom digital signage applications to showcase welcome displays, room overviews, image galleries, videos, slideshows, and more. With Plus, you can schedule different kinds of visual content to be displayed on a loop according to refresh intervals (e.g. 30 seconds, 5 minutes, etc.). What’s more, Airtame Cloud Plus will soon offer scheduled content that lets you plan content based on the time of day (e.g. 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.) and days of the week (e.g. every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday). Scheduled content will be released within the fourth quarter of 2020.

The main benefits of digital signage are also threefold:

How to mix and match

Before you decide whether to have any screens running premium features, you’ll get a 14-day free Plus trial (no payment info needed). After your trial you can:

Step 1: Purchase however many Cloud Plus seats you need (you can always add more later).

Step 2: Go to the “Screens” tab in your Airtame Cloud account.

Step 3: Click on “Manage Cloud Plus devices”

Step 4: Choose which Airtame devices you want to be on Plus and click “Save device selection”.

In addition to managing a combination of devices from one account, you can swap which physical device is connected to a Plus seat. You can reassign seats any time by going back into “Screens” and reassigning which devices are on Plus.
