The appointment of a new CEO and Chairman of the Board primes the company for continued international expansion.
5 March 2021, Copenhagen – Airtame, the leading wireless screen sharing and digital signage platform for schools and businesses, today announced the appointment of a new CEO and Chairman of the Board.
Former Airtame CFO Martin Wagner has been appointed CEO, while former CEO and Co-Founder Jonas Gyalokay joins the Board as Chairman. Jonas will continue to play an active role in steering the company forward from a strategic standpoint.
The new appointments will equip Airtame to scale more effectively, serving more schools and businesses around the world in the wake of Covid-19.
Prior to joining Airtame, Martin spent six years as CFO at Siteimprove, where he was instrumental in preparing the SaaS organization as it scaled internationally and was recently acquired by Nordic Capital. Martin brings over two decades of experience from a range of successful tech companies, including Microsoft and Milestone Systems.
“After seven years serving as CEO, it is a pleasure to pass the baton over to Martin. He brings vast experience in professionalizing and scaling technology companies and will lead Airtame to move faster and more efficiently in the years to come,” said Jonas Gyalokay.
“Airtame’s mission is to empower people to accomplish more when using screens together. The more screens we power, the more people we can help empower. With Martin behind the wheel, we’re in a strong position to scale the business and reach even more customers around the world. I look forward to continuing to work closely with Martin and the Airtame team in my new role as Chairman of the Board,” said Jonas Gyalokay.
“Airtame has come a long way in the last seven years, transforming from purely a hardware company to a hardware-enabled SaaS platform. But we’re just getting started. With a strategic mindset and sharp operational management, we’re now preparing to fulfill our growth potential in a post-Covid world, where schools will return and businesses will reopen. I look forward to leading the team as we prepare for an exciting year ahead,” said Martin Wagner.
