Since launching in 2013, our core mission at Airtame has been to help businesses and schools use screens better. This remains our focus with today’s official launch of Airtame Cloud, a software-as-a-service offering that will transform the way our customers use screens, helping create smarter offices, meeting rooms, classrooms and common areas.
The idea behind Airtame Cloud
From a practical standpoint, the platform was built to solve the issue of device management — we wanted to make it easier for customers with multiple devices to manage their Airtames effectively. Instead of having to physically check each meeting room or walk from classroom to classroom, Airtame Cloud allows IT administrators to manage multiple devices and conduct bulk updates, from anywhere.
Airtame Cloud has proven to be a big success among our customers since it was made available in beta around a year ago and is already used by more than 6,500 schools and businesses globally.
While Airtame Cloud solves a specific customer need for device management, the concept of building an intelligent and open platform was planned from the very beginning. We wanted to ensure customers could access all Airtame-enabled screens from one central place, and allow technology partners to develop new intelligent services on top of Airtame Cloud. Through this platform, we’re providing our customers with an entire ecosystem of tools and features they can use for screen sharing, device management and digital signage, helping them to create more intelligent meeting rooms, classrooms and common areas.
The power of Airtame Cloud
We’re launching Airtame Cloud with two plans: Lite and Plus.
Lite is a free version of the product, offering the core features needed to manage and update Airtame devices, along with light digital signage features. It’s important that existing customers can continue to access the fundamental features of Airtame Cloud, for free.
Plus is a premium version, enabling smart device functionality and digital signage, that will help our customers — whether they are schools, large enterprises or smaller businesses — transform offices, classrooms and common areas with their screens.
With Airtame Cloud, users can:
Boost productivity and engagement, with unlimited, personalized digital signage
Save on power, by scheduling screens to turn on and off according to office or school hours
Avoid blank screens, by scheduling imagery and videos to play on loop
Access our growing list of useful business applications, such as Google Slides, Microsoft OneDrive and Dropbox, and more

What this means for our customers and partners
With the release of the new, revamped Cloud platform, Airtame customers can now use screens in a flexible and fully modular way, meaning that every screen across schools and offices can double as signage boards as well as be used to present on through our leading device-agnostic screen sharing capabilities.
We’re now able to provide our customers with more features that can be applied to new use cases. For example, with Airtame Cloud, businesses can showcase results by selecting a playlist of images, videos or presentations to motivate teams. Schools can create a stronger sense of community by downloading and sharing images and videos from school performances and sporting events via Dropbox or Microsoft OneDrive.
We’re also in a perfect position to collaborate with other like-minded technology companies and build new solutions together.
Looking to the future
The official launch of Plus is a major milestone for Airtame. It means that we are no longer a hardware-only company, but a solution-centric business combining both hardware and software.
Airtame’s focus for the future is to harness technology to create a productive, more energy-conscious environment, whether that be in an office, meeting room, or classroom. As a starting point, we’re dedicated to providing a green solution — helping schools and enterprises reduce their energy consumption by automating screens to turn off when they’re not being used with our new Sleep Schedule feature.
We’re already working on a range of new features to continue to develop Airtame Cloud. We’ll also be incorporating a number of new apps into the platform over the coming months.
It’s going to be a huge year for Airtame users, so stay tuned!
