Compare

Both Airtame and ScreenBeam offers solutions for wireless sharing and collaboration across multiple different device platforms. The key differences are in consistency of the experience, the flexibility in options for connecting and how scalable it is to manage each platform.

Screen Sharing

ScreenBeam relies solely on the protocols built into a device such as Miracast for Windows, AirPlay for Macs, iPhones and iPads, and Google cast for Chromebooks and Android devices. Comparatively Airtame offers a browser based and a native application for a consistent user experience across all the different device types. Airtame also offers Miracast, AirPlay and Google Cast ensuring that any user can easily connect.

Device Mangement

For device managment Airtame provides a state of the art Cloud management platform hosted on AWS. It requires no setup on the IT side, has >99.9% uptime and is thoughtfully designed to enable management of thousands of screens. ScreenBeam’s management features are split into a desktop application for Windows only for the 960 unit and a self-hosted management system (CMS-E) for their higher-end models. The management tool is cumbersome to use, requires hardware and VPN if managing from a separate network.

Pricing model

ScreenBeam is a fully hardware based platform with different options at different pricepoints, while Airtame offers either hardware options with included subscriptions or a purely software based solution which can run on customers’ existing hardware.

Digital signage

Both ScreenBeam and Airtame offers signage capabilities. ScreenBeam offers an image or URL background, while Airtame has apps to show websites, images, live Google Slides, PowerPoint, OneDrive etc.

Video conferencing

Lastly Airtame also offers video conferencing integrations to Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Zoom and Webex while ScreenBeams wireless conferencing relies on screen sharing a call from your laptop to the screen, with microphone and video feeds being returned over the network.
