Airtame appoints Susanne Lund as new CEO

Airtame, the Danish shared screen collaboration and management scale-up, hires a new Chief Executive Officer with extensive senior management experience from Microsoft, Lessor, Jabra and Templafy. With her experience, she will further propel Airtame to become a leading supplier of software and hardware solutions for the professional market for all screens inside organisations.

On 1 October 2022, Airtame will welcome Susanne Lund as new CEO as part of a strategy to focus on and expand the company’s software business beyond hardware.

Susanne brings with her more than 30 years of experience from the technology industry. 17 of these years have been spent at Microsoft heading different businesses, one of them being the sales director for the Danish private enterprise business. Over the past decade, she has held positions such as Global Vice President and CMO at Jabra, the leading brand in audio equipment and video conferencing systems. Global Vice President, Sales and Partners at Templafy, a business document automation platform and most recently CCO at Lessor, an employee administration platform. At the same time, Susanne holds several board positions in a number of tech companies, including chairman of the board in the SaaS company Enterspeed.

“The experience I bring works perfectly with the growth stage Airtame is at right now. I am looking forward to both learning as well as helping accelerate Airtame’s focus towards a SaaS model and scale the business globally”, explains Susanne Lund.

Airtame’s co-founder, Jonas Gyalokay, will pass the CEO baton to Susanne from October, and will continue as an advisor in his role as the Airtame board member.

“We are incredibly happy to welcome Susanne to Airtame and are convinced that she can take the company to new heights. It is especially Susanne’s in-depth knowledge of both hardware and software that we look forward to seeing unfold as Airtame is on an exciting development journey. She is also a really skilled leader who can help the team navigate this competitive market,” says Peter Colsted, chairman of the board of Airtame.

Airtame started in 2013, with an HDMI dongle for wireless screen sharing after a million-dollar crowdfunding campaign. Airtame has since been successful in closing the gap between hardware and software solutions for businesses and educational institutions.

Airtame is particularly popular in the American market, where many companies and schools trust its user-friendly solutions to solve their shared screen needs. Since 2020, covid-19 has changed how people communicate and collaborate with each other, and Airtame has therefore spent the past year further developing and reimagining a number of products that will make it even easier to accommodate flexible work. Susanne Lund has no doubt that the company is heading in a really exciting direction.

“It is important for me to work in a company with a focus on value-creating and innovative solutions and that we always go all the way to deliver the absolute best for customers and partners – and I think that Airtame very well embodies those same principles. We are really strong in the market, and we put action behind our words. I am really looking forward to getting started”, concluded Susanne Lund.
